Transcendence

Our annual celebration for trans and non-binary community members and friends in support of our pioneering Transgender Health Program, Transcendence honors leaders in TGNB wellness and visibility.

This year we’re thrilled to honor two boundary-breaking leaders: Deja Smith and Jacob Tobia, two artists who are changing the world by elevating conversations around gender, sexuality and humanity through their art.

Past Transcendence honorees include world renowned DJ Lina; writer, speaker and media personality Tyler Ford; artist, poet, and performer, Juliana Huxtable; photographer, writer and publisher, Amos Mac; actress, model, writer, and activist Hari Nef; community collective bklyn boihood; activist and Democratic leader Melissa Sklarz; and author, playwright, performance artist, and gender theorist Kate Bornstein.
