Spring Fever 2018

Tickets and sponsorships on sale now for Spring Fever 2018! This year’s event will take place on Thursday, May 3rd at Project Farmhouse in Union Square from 6pm – 9pm.

Now in its 11th year, Spring Fever attracts powerful women, friends and allies to gather for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in support of our affirming and inclusive women’s health program while honoring influential women who have positively impacted LGBTQ communities in New York and beyond.

At Callen-Lorde, we strive to create an environment that affirms humanity and individuality, inspiring people to realize their own health and wellness. Our women’s health program – one of the first of its kind – offers empowering, non-judgmental, body-positive healthcare in an open and welcoming environment. Our services are provided in a safe and supportive space to all women, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

2018 Spring Fever Honoree

This year we will honor journalist and HuffPost’s Editor-in-Chief Lydia Polgreen and recognize her efforts to support a platform that brings unbiased, educational, diverse reporting to the world. As one of the only women to head a major news organization – and the only queer woman of color – Lydia is creating a space that elevates women’s voices from all walks of life. We are thrilled to add Lydia’s name to the canon of past honorees that include comedian, activist, musician and actor Lea DeLaria; Executive Director of M•A•C AIDS Fund Nancy Mahon; activist and equal marriage champion, the late Edie Windsor; longtime Callen-Lorde supporter and former Board member Ellen Alpert; performing artist and political activist, Staceyann Chin; novelist, playwright and AIDS Historian Sarah Schulman; and platform, collective, and women’s booking agency Discwoman.
