World AIDS Day 2018

Michael Callen

“We must fix our hearts and minds on a clear image of the day when AIDS is no more.

Make no mistake that day will come.”

– Michael Callen

On World AIDS Day, we remember the words of our namesake, Michael Callen. Today, we believe we are closer to this dream than ever, thanks to advances in prevention and treatment, such as PrEP, PEP, and U=U, or treatment as prevention.

At Callen-Lorde, we remember those we have lost by caring for those living with the disease, helping to prevent new infections through research, and reducing fear, shame, and stigma through education.

We’re here for you, today and always. Come in for free HIV testing during our walk-in testing and counseling hours and join us tonight at the NYC AIDS Memorial to #LighttheFight, starting at 4:30pm. Together, we can end AIDS.
