Statement Delays

Please be advised that due to a technical error due while updating our systems, Callen-Lorde Billing Statements were delayed for some patients. Statements you have recently received were delayed as a result. Thank you for your patience as we corrected these issues. We apologize for inconvenience.

Why are my statements delayed?

Callen-Lorde has recently upgraded its billing system, resulting in a temporary delay in statements. We have taken time to review balances to make sure your statements are accurate.  

Why am I receiving multiple statements?

Callen-Lorde offers medical care, dental care, and behavioral health services. These services are billed separately, which is why you may receive multiple statements for the various services you received. 

When can I expect to receive statements for my copay or deductible?  

If your health insurance plan did not cover the entire cost of your visit because of copays and deductibles, you should expect to receive a bill in the next few weeks.  

What if I can’t afford to pay my balance in its entirety?  

Callen-Lorde offers several payment options including payment plans, sliding scale discounts based on income, and financial assistance for those that qualify. Please contact the financial counselors at 212.937.4846 to discuss your next steps. 

How do I make a payment? 

Make a payment on the MyChart app or by clicking here. You can also pay by mail or at any Callen-Lorde front desk. For questions, please call 212. 271.7253 or 212.937.4846. 

How can I sign up for paperless billing? 

Log into MyChart and navigate to the ‘Billing Summary’ under ‘Your Menu.’ Then select ‘Save time while you save paper. Sign up for paperless billing.’ Select both ‘Receive e-mail notifications’ and ‘I understand that I will no longer receive statements in the mail.’
