Important Changes are Coming

Please be advised we are switching to a new electronic health records system to better serve you!

Over the next several weeks, appointment access and wait times may be longer than expected as we transition to the new system. Additionally, we may need to verify certain information at check-in and during your appointment. We appreciate your patience and kindness as we navigate these changes.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the new electronic medical record system?

We will be switching our systems to Epic – the preferred electronic health record system used by more than 250 health care organizations nationwide.

Why are we switching?

We are adopting the comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system to improve patient experience, enhance care coordination, and significantly streamline services. At Callen-Lorde, this will allow for greater patient engagement and management over your own health information.

What is MyChart?

MyChart is our new patient portal that seamlessly integrates with our electronic health records system.

In MyChart, you can:

  • Manage and update your contact information, including name, address, phone number, email, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and ethnicity
  • Message your providers
  • Pay your bills
  • Download your medical records
  • View your lab and test results
  • … and more!

All patients will receive a text message with a secure link to sign up for the portal. If you already have a MyChart account for another health care provider, you will still need to create a new account. These text messages will be sent the last week of October. If you do not receive a text to activate your new portal account, you can request an activation at your next appointment, or by calling (212) 271-7200.
