On Wednesday, November 23rd all Callen-Lorde health centers and pharmacies will close at 4:15pm. Callen-Lorde will remain closed through Sunday, November 27th, reopening on Monday, November 28th.

PHARMACY SERVICES

We encourage patients to use our free home delivery service for refills. If you use the Callen-Lorde Pharmacy, you can request refills online, or by calling (877) 436-3452. If you are unable to receive a delivery or need additional support, please call (212) 271-7204, option 2.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

The Thea Spyer Center (17th Street) is currently closed for Behavioral Health. All groups are temporarily suspended. At this time, we are only able to provide behavioral health services to patients engaged in primary care at Callen-Lorde and who are uninsured, or have Medicaid, Medicare, or ADAP (we do not accept commercial insurances for Behavioral Health at this time). Behavioral health is currently on a very long waiting list for services.

PROCEDURES

Colposcopies, IUDs, and testopel insertions have resumed at 18th Street. Wart treatment (SW) and anoscopies will resume soon. Please contact 212.271.7200 for rescheduling.

DENTAL

Callen-Lorde Dental is offering telehealth appointment to address urgent needs. We are also open for onsite urgent care and some routine dental appointments. At this time, we are not offering comprehensive exams or dental cleanings. To schedule a telehealth or onsite dental appointment, please call 212.271.7200.

HORMONE ACCESS

We are continuing to provide injections onsite but also offer pills, patches, and gels. Talk to your healthcare provider about your options.

CARE COORDINATION

In order to best support our patients at this time, Care Coordination is offering virtual care in addition to limited onsite services. Field visits for patient navigation services are suspended. If Callen-Lorde patients need case management support, call 646-965-5463, leave a voicemail, and a staff person will call you back within 1 business day.

LEGAL SERVICES

Legal Services NYC is working with patients remotely and will not be staffing their usual Wednesday evening sessions for the time being. Additionally, they are staffing their citywide hotline for anyone seeking legal assistance: 917.661.4500.

SEXUAL HEALTH/PEP/PREP

Sexual health and PrEP appointments are now virtual, please call 212.271.7200 to schedule a phone or video call. Patients can walk in to our sites for PEP up until 2 hours before the clinic closes.

INSURANCE NAVIGATION

The state has extended the special enrollment period through the end of 2021. Request a call from an Insurance Navigation Specialist here. Patients can also directly apply for coverage through the NY State of Health on-line at nystateofhealth.ny.gov or by phone at (855) 355-5777.

LABS

Lab services at Callen-Lorde are currently suspended. We are strongly encouraging patients get labs done at a Bioreference or Labcorp close to their home. Find out where your insurance is accepted and the closest lab location here.
