I suit up, show up and speak out for my community every day. I’m a life-long activist as well as the owner of Henrietta Hudson. My bar is my business but it is the activism that gets me out of bed in the morning.  I have had the fortune to use my bar as a platform for social change and to raise money and consciousness for my community. Callen-Lorde has and continues to be life-saving for scores of my patrons. Over several decades ─ from the AIDS crisis to breast cancer screenings ─ and being at the forefront of caring for our trans brothers and sisters, Callen-Lorde is our “go to” health facility for everyone in our community, and an integral part of the diverse fabric that is LGBTQ New York City.
