Introducing our Interim Executive Director

Dear friends and supporters, 

It is a great honor to introduce myself as Interim Executive Director of Callen-Lorde.  

Over the last 20 years I have served in a variety of roles at Callen-Lorde, most recently as Senior Director of Planning & Sustainability. In this role, I have worked closely with the finance, clinical, and operations teams – along with my senior leadership colleagues – to help build a path forward for the organization’s continued growth, transformation, and stability. 

I started at Callen-Lorde back in 2003 as a Community Health Specialist doing HIV rapid testing, health education, and harm reduction counseling, eventually serving as Director of that department. I went on to become Deputy Director of Business Systems and Strategy in the Bureau of HIV Prevention and Control at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and later served as Center Director for Community Healthcare Network at Community League Health Center. I returned to Callen-Lorde in 2016 to direct the expansion and inclusion of special populations in the continued growth of Callen-Lorde’s portfolio of services, and lead the opening of Callen-Lorde Bronx.  

I am very grateful for the Board’s confidence in me, and I am moved to be able to steward an organization that I love through this interim process at such a critical time in our community’s history, when so many are suffering and under attack, both physically and politically.  

I look forward to working with you towards a bright future for Callen-Lorde, our patients, and the communities we serve.
