Senior Director of Research and Education

Asa is an infectious disease/HIV specialist and directs Callen-Lorde’s department of Research and Education. Asa serves on several boards including the HHS Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents, and is currently co-chair of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care 8 working group. Asa’s research focuses on STI/HIV risk, HIV prevention and health outcomes in LGBTQ populations.
