Asa serves on several boards including the HHS Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents, and is currently co-chair of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care 8 working group. Asa's research focuses on STI/HIV risk, HIV prevention and health outcomes in LGBTQ populations.

<< See all providersAviva has been practicing at Callen-Lorde since 2013. Prior to Callen Lorde, she worked at Harlem United in upper Manhattan and at one of the city clinics in Philadelphia. Aviva studied at Drexel University for her masters in Physician Assistant studies and has her doctorate in Medical Science from Lynchburg University. Aviva is the HIV Quality Coordinator and participates in quality initiatives throughout the agency. Aviva is a preceptor for the Keith Haring Nurse Practitioner fellowship and loves teaching and learning with the fellows. Aviva has focused her training and practice on LGBTQ+ health, HIV medicine, metabolic conditions and obesity prevention and management.
Catherine Trossello is a scholar-educator who is deeply committed to health equity and social justice. She has participated in humanitarian work in countries around the world including Nicaragua, Mexico, Nepal, Ghana and in disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico after the island-wide devastation of Hurricane Maria. Prior to working at Callen-Lorde, Catherine spent 7 years working in a clinic for undocumented immigrants from Latin & South America. In this clinic, she did full family practice including caring for adult and pediatric patients and managing an OB clinic. Now at Callen-Lorde, in addition to her clinical work, she is the Director of The Keith Haring Nurse Practitioner Postgraduate Fellowship in LGBTQ+ Health. This Fellowship is the first of its kind in the United States. Through this Fellowship, Catherine strives to create an educational and training program that not only allows the Keith Haring Fellows to bring forward all they learn to other health care settings, but that also uplifts and supports NP's, especially those new to practice. Catherine lives in Brooklyn, NY and is adjunct faculty at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing.

He graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2010. He has been practicing at Callen-Lorde since 2016. Prior to joining the team at Callen-Lorde, Chance provided abortion and reproductive health services at Dr. Emily Women's Health Center, and sexual health and prenatal care at Community Healthcare Network. He has worked for multiple harm reduction agencies throughout NYC including Washington Heights CORNER Project, VOCAL-NY, and the Positive Health Project. His clinical interests are reproductive health and family building for transgender and nonbinary people, drug user health (including buprenorphine provision), and anal health.

<< See all providersGayge (she/they) has been at Callen-Lorde as a sexual health/urgent care provider since 2016, and as a primary care provider since 2020. They also did some of their training at Callen-Lorde. They are passionate about transgender health, HIV care, substance use disorder treatment, and harm reduction. She is particularly interested in the potential of lifestyle to prevent and manage chronic disease, with a focus on food choices and exercise. Outside of Callen-Lorde, they are an active member of USA Weightlifting. She has medaled at multiple national meets as a Masters athlete, is an Advanced Sports Performance Coach who has worked with their teammates and with Queer Trans Strength NYC, and is a technical official. This informs their view of the importance of exercise to health, improving access to exercise, and participation in sport as a human right.
