ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF MEDICINE – CALLEN-LORDE BRONX

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced and dedicated medical provider (MD, DO, NP) to join our team as an Associate Director of Medicine (ADM) at our Bronx Clinic. The ADM will collaborate with the Director of Medicine in providing clinical and administrative leadership and vision to Callen-Lorde’s Bronx Clinic, particularly with primary care services. The ADM is responsible for the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of the quality of care provided to patients, and operates within the framework of Callen-Lorde’s mission and applicable city, state, and federal mandates at Callen-Lorde’s Bronx location. The ADM will also have their own patient panel.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s Bronx site is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three 8:30-4:30pm shifts and two 12:30-8:30pm shifts.

Qualifications

BILLING ASSOCIATE

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking a friendly and organized individual with billing and data entry experience in medical settings to join our staff as a Billing Associate (BA). The BA is responsible for data entry and maintaining an efficient flow and accurate accounting of patients through the various medical, mental health and oral health services within Callen-Lorde. The BA must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times. Daily responsibilities will include patient accounts management, registration/data entry, financial screening, entitlements enrollment and referral, insurance verification, claims submission, re-billing/corrections, transaction adjustments, payment entry and reconciliation.

Schedule

CLINICAL INFORMATICS SPECIALIST (NP, PA)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Clinician to work in a support role in the Health Information Technology Department improving the functionality of our EMR. The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) will work to assess current workflows, processes and implementing improvements and/or enhancements to NextGen’s electronic health record, practice management system and dental record. Working with a NextGen multi-disciplinary team they will help evaluate potential HIT solutions based on clinical requirements. They will engage relevant clinical staff to document new workflows and ensure close coordination with the data reporting teams so that reports capture changes. They will also assist with training staff and performing post-implementation monitoring of the adoption and use of new or enhanced workflows. The clinician in this support role will (ideally) potentially also maintain a very limited clinical practice, (1 day per week) in order to have hands on experience with the EMR.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position with normal business hours (9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday – Friday). Occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends will be required.

CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN*

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking a certified Clinical Laboratory Technician (Technician) to join our growing organization. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Position Summary

The Development Officer will fill a new role in Callen-Lorde’s growing development and communications department.  The Development Officer will create systems to grow individual giving, major giving and corporate giving to Callen-Lorde in concert with the Senior Director of Development and Communications. They will develop strategies and monitor benchmarks to grow existing efforts (annual giving, monthly giving, Howard J. Brown Society) and will lead efforts to launch new efforts (social media and peer-to-peer fundraising, prospect research, moves management, support executive and board level fundraising). In addition to raising general operating support, the coordinator will support efforts to raise capital funds for Callen-Lorde’s expansion to Brooklyn in 2020.

As a member of the Development and Communications team, the Development Officer will also participate in the planning and execution of strategic external communications efforts for the agency. They will be also be involved in many aspects of the overall development program, especially supporting special events.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s Administrative office is open Monday – Friday. This is a full-time position with normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

FACILITIES MANAGER

Position Summary

Callen–Lorde is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the provision of services to our growing organization that has several medical clinics and administrative sites. In this role, the Facilities Manager will oversee facilities operations services and maintenance, workplace environmental health & safety, regulatory compliance, and security. The Facilities Manager will ensure that all staff have a safe, clean, healthy and comfortable work environment. The Facilities Manager will also have over site of Callen-Lorde’s mobile medical van. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will lead facilities relocation and expansion projects of considerable scope and complexity. In this role the Facilities Manager will also manage relationships with external contractors and ensure all vendors institute effective systems for logging and tracking of needed inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair needs. The Facilities Manager will also take the lead in communicating timelines for resolution of problems with staff. Callen-Lorde is looking for a candidate that is dedicated to our mission, has strong project management experience and exceptional leadership skills to manage a small team of facilities/maintenance staff.

GENERAL DENTIST*

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced, dedicated and reliable General Dentist to join our team in providing comprehensive and appropriate oral health services to a diverse patient population, including those living with HIV/AIDS. In this role, the Dentist will perform routine preventative care and maintenance dentistry in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. The Dentist will perform complex treatments and rehabilitation procedures for advanced oral diseases and injuries of teeth and gums and will also provide emergency dental services, including diagnosis and treatment plans, general restorative procedures, crown and bridge fabrication, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics, minor oral surgery and initiate/interpret radiographs. In addition, the Dentist will administer and prescribe anesthetics and medications, refer patients for specialty care to other clinic programs or outside agencies, conduct follow-up patient care, provide patient education and provide supervision to Dental Hygienist(s) and Dental Resident(s).

Schedule

MANAGER, CARE COORDINATION

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking a dedicated, individual to join our staff as the Manager of the Care Coordination Department. The Manager oversees several Care Coordination programs facilitating case management services for the full spectrum of Callen-Lorde’s patient population. The Manager will work in collaboration with medical providers, nursing, and behavioral health staff to ensure that the full continuum of care for our patients are identified, implemented and monitored. MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT DRIVER – PER DIEM

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking a per diem driver for our Mobile Medical Unit. The Mobile Medical Unit provides comprehensive medical care to young people in our Health Outreach to Teens program. The Driver must be available to work on Thursday and Friday evenings between 10pm and 3am. There may be other evening and weekend opportunities available as well. The position is currently a per diem position, but it may lead to full-time employment in the future.  Valid Commercial Driver’s License is required. On occasion the MMU Driver will be responsible for light maintenance of the mobile medical unit and will verify that all vehicle systems are operational.  The Driver will provide security for all medical and office supplies as well as MMU logs and address on-site security issues, when appropriate.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a per diem position that will include Thursday and Friday evenings between 10pm and 3am.  Salary will be based on experience.

Position Summary

The Patient Experience Specialist (PES) will be an initial point of contact for patient feedback and is responsible for ensuring excellence in service delivery recovery and in resolution of patent concerns and issues. Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced and dedicated Physician (MD, DO,) to join our team in providing both HIV and primary care services to a panel of diverse patients at our Bronx location. Working with a close-knit group of colleagues, the Physician maintains a high degree of professional competence and functions as a reliable member of a patient care team.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s Bronx site is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three 8:30-4:30pm shifts and two 12:30-8:30pm shifts.

Qualifications

  • New York State (MD, DO,) License and Registration
  • AAHIVM certification strongly preferred
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in providing HIV primary care
  • Experience in sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, and education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LGBTQ health related concerns and experience in providing medical care in LGBTQ communities
  • Commitment to community based health care services
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

POPULATION HEALTH DATA ANALYTICS MANAGER

Position Summary

The Population Health Analytics Manager (PHAM) will direct clinic-wide initiatives that aim to help Callen-Lorde understand its trends, indicators, and provider performance through data. The PHAM will supervise a small staff of Population Health Coordinators and will also collaborate closely with Health Information Technology staff to create innovative systems for data capturing and reporting. The PHAM will respond to data requests, build customized reports, and help develop a culture of data literacy throughout the clinic. The PHAM will maintain data integrity, support development of strategic plans to improve all data and documentation. The PHAM will also work with the management team to update protocols, provide documentation trainings to staff, and perform other administrative support functions.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position with morning, afternoon and evening hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, Masters preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, work accurately under stringent deadlines and remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
  • Experience in health care, HIV service delivery or social services preferred (2-3years)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills and the ability to self-manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections and transmission risks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of city, state, national and global prevention strategies.
  • General knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMRs) practices
  • Experience creating and maintaining strong working relationships with both non-technical and technical partners
  • Basic Understanding of relational database structures and SQL

SOCIAL WORKER, LCSW – IN-HOME FAMILY THERAPIST*

Position Summary

Social Workers at Callen-Lorde provide individual, family, couple and group psychotherapy sessions, supportive counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, and referral services. The In-Home Family Therapist will work in a grant-funded position to deliver in-home family strengthening services to patients. At the start, the provider will conduct in-home work two days per week, and work in the behavioral health clinic 3 days per week. Once funding is secured, the provider will work 5 days per week conducting in-home family and individual therapy.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position which will include morning, afternoon and some evening hours.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work and NYS licensure as a LCSW
  • At least 1 or more years post-Master’s clinical experience working with families
  • Experience working in a New York State Article 31 outpatient practice setting preferred
  • Knowledge of LGBT- and HIV-related health/mental health issues and concerns
  • The ability to maintain on-going documentation in an electronic health record
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and ability to handle multiple/simultaneous tasks.
  • Ability to work independently but yet be team focused
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
