Brooklyn Pride

Multi Cultural Festival at 11:00AM

A cross-section of the borough’s business, community and city-wide organizations line six blocks of 5th Avenue between 1st and 9th Streets. Look for more space and seating near our stages so you can enjoy our entertainment and connect with other members of your community!

 

Twilight Parade at 7:30PM

Come and be part of the ONLY New York City night time parade Saturday, June 9th.   The parade starts around Lincoln Place and ends at 9th St. & 5th Avenue and steps off promptly at 7:30pm.

 

LGBTQIA+ Brooklynites had traditionally crossed over the bridge to Manhattan seeking the gay community. In 1996 several Brooklynites looked to create a new opportunity, whereby local organizations, businesses, friends and supporters of equal rights for all could come together in solidarity and celebration and bring visibility to the multi-cultural gay community in the borough. A new organization was founded – Brooklyn Pride, Inc. Over the years, Brooklyn Pride has grown to become the largest and most prominent organization serving Brooklyn’s LGBTQIA+ community. Although Brooklyn Pride’s primary mission is to produce the borough’s annual pride events, the organization actively works to bring pride year round to every Brooklyn neighborhood.
