Callen-Lorde showed up and showed out for NYC Pride 2025!

This past Sunday, Callen-Lorde showed the city what Care Without Compromise truly means during NYC Pride 2025. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The day began around noon when our viewing party arrived on 5th Avenue and 19th Street to watch the parade. We created the viewing party because we had such an enthusiastic response to our call for marchers—and it was a success! Our community established Calle-Lorde’s presence on the parade route and showed our love for community organizations throughout the day.

About 80 marchers joined us for the parade, including several staff, patients and members of our Leadership Council, CAB and Board of Directors; we stepped off onto Madison Avenue around 4pm. We wound down through Flatiron and the West Village, taking turns partying on our amazing float while the rest of the contingent danced to the beats of Lana Ja’rae in the street and handed out Care Without Compromise stickers, buttons and bandanas. The throngs of people who filled the streets recognized and loved our presence, and we shared more about Callen-Lorde’s history and services from the float’s loudspeaker.

This march perfectly illustrated the love, acceptance, affirmation and commitment to patients that Callen-Lorde puts out into the city every day. Thank you to all the staff who helped us celebrate on Sunday, including the Development and Communications team who were instrumental to the march planning and execution. This year’s monthlong Pride celebration encompassed more than two dozen events, big and small, that engaged our communities and helped new patients establish care.
