ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF MEDICINE – CALLEN-LORDE BRONX

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced and dedicated medical provider (MD, DO, NP) to join our team as an Associate Director of Medicine (ADM) at our Bronx Clinic. The ADM will collaborate with the Director of Medicine in providing clinical and administrative leadership and vision to Callen-Lorde’s Bronx Clinic, particularly with primary care services. The ADM is responsible for the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of the quality of care provided to patients, and operates within the framework of Callen-Lorde’s mission and applicable city, state, and federal mandates at Callen-Lorde’s Bronx location. The ADM will also have their own patient panel.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s Bronx site is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three 8:30-4:30pm shifts and two 12:30-8:30pm shifts.

Qualifications

  • New York State (MD, DO, NP) License and Registration
  • AAHIVM certification strongly preferred
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience highly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in providing HIV primary care
  • Experience in sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, and education

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR

Position Summary

The Coordinator of Behavioral Health (Coordinator) works closely with the management and clinical teams to ensure appropriate access to health care for patients at Callen-Lorde’s 17th Street Clinic. The Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the front desk staff, administrative services, patient scheduling and pre-screening process for the mental health and primary care clinic. The Coordinator will assist with patient tracking, template management, data reporting and practice management. The Coordinator will administer staff trainings and ensure excellent customer service is being provided to all patients. In addition, this person will approve staff timesheets and time off requests. The coordinator will play a key role in providing administrative support to both the management and clinical teams.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s 17th Street Clinic is open Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position with normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Social Services related discipline
  • Two or more year’s experience in a high level administrative role in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of administrative requirements of managed care.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information-applicable state regulations.
  • Strong computer competency (MS Office, Electronic Medical Record)

BILLING ASSOCIATE

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking a friendly and organized individual with billing and data entry experience in medical settings to join our staff as a Billing Associate (BA). The BA is responsible for data entry and maintaining an efficient flow and accurate accounting of patients through the various medical, mental health and oral health services within Callen-Lorde. The BA must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times. Daily responsibilities will include patient accounts management, registration/data entry, financial screening, entitlements enrollment and referral, insurance verification, claims submission, re-billing/corrections, transaction adjustments, payment entry and reconciliation.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00pm).  Occasional evenings will be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, additional education preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in a medical services environment, specifically with Medicaid billing.
  • 2+ years experience of performing extensive data entry
  • Knowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws.
  • Evening availability/schedule flexibility a must.

CARE COORDINATOR

Position Summary

Callen-Lorde Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated, flexible individual to join our staff as a Care Coordinator. The Care Coordinator supervises a team of case managers and patient navigators with oversight for the delivery of medical case management in an interdisciplinary team model. The Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the biopsychosocial continuum of care needs of Callen-Lorde patients are identified and appropriate services accessed, coordinated, and monitored. The Care Coordinator will work closely with medical, mental health and outreach workers to ensure that the full continuum of care needs of our clients are identified and appropriate services accessed, coordinated, and monitored.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position with morning, afternoon and occasional evening hours.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Master of Social Work degree (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or related Master’s degree preferred or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing direct case management services will be considered.
  • Experience supervising case management staff and performance based grant contracts.
  • Strong computer competency, including knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Computerized Appointment/Billing Programs and Microsoft Office Programs.

FACILITIES MANAGER

Position Summary

Callen–Lorde is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the provision of services to our growing organization that has several medical clinics and administrative sites. In this role, the Facilities Manager will oversee facilities operations services and maintenance, workplace environmental health & safety, regulatory compliance, and security. The Facilities Manager will ensure that all staff have a safe, clean, healthy and comfortable work environment. The Facilities Manager will also have over site of Callen-Lorde’s mobile medical van. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will lead facilities relocation and expansion projects of considerable scope and complexity. In this role the Facilities Manager will also manage relationships with external contractors and ensure all vendors institute effective systems for logging and tracking of needed inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair needs. The Facilities Manager will also take the lead in communicating timelines for resolution of problems with staff. Callen-Lorde is looking for a candidate that is dedicated to our mission, has strong project management experience and exceptional leadership skills to manage a small team of facilities/maintenance staff.

Schedule

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position and the facilities manager will generally work Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Facilities Management or equivalent combination of experience, education and training
  • Fire/Emergency Safety Director Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in building/property management
  • Experience in construction project management required
  • Medical facility experience and/or familiarity with infection control guidelines preferred

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

SOCIAL WORKER, LCSW – IN-HOME FAMILY THERAPIST

Position Summary

Social Workers at Callen-Lorde provide individual, family, couple and group psychotherapy sessions, supportive counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, and referral services. The In-Home Family Therapist will work in a grant-funded position to deliver in-home family strengthening services to patients. At the start, the provider will conduct in-home work two days per week, and work in the behavioral health clinic 3 days per week. Once funding is secured, the provider will work 5 days per week conducting in-home family and individual therapy.
